  • Responsibilities

    • Lead Contractor to liaison with other ACC divisions, and other MAJCOMs and other Joint Forces for AOC issues. Coordinate with and represent the Headquarters Air Component operational interests in order to improve synchronization and alignment of policy and doctrine in an efficient manner.
    • Lead Contractor to advise and recommend options to manage and improve AOC processes, procedures, and doctrine; AOC manning levels, efficiency, and effectiveness. Support the development of Operational Concepts.
    • Assist lead Contractor (4.1.1) in internal and external working groups, conferences, and experimentation and development events providing AOC expertise, approximately once per month.
    • Assist lead Contractor (4.1.5) to plan and execute AOC staff assistance visits (SAV), approximately 4 times per year.
    • Assist lead Contractor (4.1.3) to review, develop and prepare the AOC readiness program to include Operational Capability Statements; Mission Capability Statements.
    • Assist lead Contractor (4.1.3) to liaise with system program offices and other agencies on staff and other AOCs to remain current on AOC weapon system capabilities, developments and initiatives, to advise division leadership on policies and positions.
    • Assist lead Contractor (4.1.1) to review, develop and prepare AOC CONOPs, conceptual operational plans, and proper execution of AOC process execution.
    • Assist lead Contractor (4.1.3) to prepare, review and develop Combined, Joint, AF, Multi-Service doctrine and regulations. Draft A3C position on ACC and Air Staff Taskers to include Enabling Concepts, Functional Concepts, ACCE Concept, AOC Crew Roadmap, AOC CONOPs, Command and Control General Officer Steering Group (C2 GOSG) and Corona taskers.
    • Participate in AOC related exercises, tests, experimentation, table top and staff level events contributing to the sustainment and modernization of the AOC and associated infrastructure, approximately four (4) times per year.


    • Must possess an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
    • Must possess a Master’s Degree.
    • Must possess a minimum of 15 years rated operations experience (11, 12, 13B or previous 17XX Air Weapons Controller/Air Battle Manager AFSCs).
    • Must possess a minimum of 5 years AOC operational experience or higher headquarters level staff to include program and funding actions. Preferably working AOC support.
    • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience of Air Force AOC weapons system capabilities, developments and initiatives.
    • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in non-AOC weapons system areas to support document development and review.
